Warning to Sheep Graziers

for Northern Tablelands, Illawarra, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Northern Tablelands, Illawarra, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and westerly winds are expected during Friday and Saturday. Areas likely to be affected include the Southern Tablelands, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Northern Tablelands, Illawarra, Central Tablelands and South West Slopes forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
Cancellation of Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Mid North Coast, Hunter and South Coast forecast districts
The Warning to Sheep Graziers for the Mid North Coast, Hunter and South Coast forecast districts has been cancelled.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 am EST Friday.

Damaging winds have eased

Weather Situation
A cold front has moved offshore of southern NSW, leaving easing westerly winds in its wake.
cancellation of severe weather warning for the following areas:
Illawarra, South Coast, Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains
This warning is now cancelled. Other warnings may be current. Please check www.bom.gov.au/warnings/.
Widespread damaging wind gusts have been recorded across the warning area since 9am today, including:
111 km/h at Bellambi at 12:27 pm
91 km/h at Kurnell at 1:08 pm
91 km/h at Sydney Airport at 1:12 pm
94 km/h at Albion Park (Shellharbour Airport) at 1:13 pm
96 km/h at Nowra at 2:51 pm
96 km/h at High Range at 11:34 pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
* Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
