Minor Flood Warning For The Bogan River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MUDALL and MULGAWARRINA
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT GONGOLGON FROM THIS WEEKEND
Rainfall across the Bogan catchment last week has caused renewed river rises and prolonged flooding.
The main flood peak along the Bogan River is currently passing Neurie Plains.
River levels at Nyngan are expected to remain below the moderate flood level (3.50 metres).
These floodwaters have caused renewed minor flooding at Mulgawarrina (estimated) and is likely to cause renewed minor flooding at Gongolgon from this weekend.
Peak predictions will be provided as upstream peaks are observed.
Bogan River to Nyngan:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Bogan River at Mudall.
The Bogan River at Mudall peaked near 3.00 metres Tuesday morning (estimated) with moderate flooding, and is currently around 2.87 metres (estimated) and falling, with minor flooding.
The Bogan River at Mudall may remain above the minor flood level (2.70 m) until early next week.
Lower Bogan River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Bogan River at Mulgawarrina (estimated). Renewed minor flooding is likely at Gongolgon.
The Bogan River at Mulgawarrina may reach around 4.60 metres around Tuesday next week, with minor flooding. Further rises are possible.
The Bogan River at Gongolgon fell below the minor flood level (0.80 metres) early Monday morning 15 August.
The Bogan River at Gongolgon is likely to exceed the minor flood level (0.80 m) over the weekend. The river level may reach around 0.90 metres midweek next week with minor flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MENINDEE, POONCARIE AND BURTUNDY
The main flood peak along the Darling River is currently passing Menindee, where minor flooding is occurring.
The river level at Menindee is likely to remain steady above the minor flood level through to the end of August as WaterNSW plans to maintain current release levels. Subject to inflow conditions, the current release level may be extended further. The release plan follows consultation with the SES and local communities.
Downstream of Menindee, minor flooding is occurring at Pooncarie and Burtundy, where river levels are steady.
Darling River downstream of Wilcannia to Burtundy:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Menindee, Pooncarie, and Burtundy.
The Darling River at Menindee town gauge is likely to remain near 9.00 metres through to the end of August, with minor flooding.
The Darling River at Pooncarie is likely to remain near 6.90 metres through to mid September, with minor flooding.
The Darling River at Burtundy is likely to remain near 6.70 metres through to late September, with minor flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WEILMORINGLE AND KENEBREE
Upstream floodwaters from Queensland have caused minor to moderate flooding along the Culgoa River. Flooding has now eased at Brenda, where river levels fell below the minor flood level Sunday afternoon.
The main flood peak along the Culgoa River is now approaching Weilmoringle, where minor flooding is occurring and a peak is likely towards the end of the week. Downstream, minor flooding is also occurring at Kenebree with a peak expected later next week.
Culgoa River:
Minor flooding is occurring at Weilmoringle and Kenebree.
The Culgoa River at Weilmoringle may peak near 5.30 metres around Friday, with minor flooding.
The Culgoa River at Kenebree may reach near 5.40 metres around 26-28 August, with minor flooding.

Flood waters from the Paroo River in Queensland have reached New South Wales, with minor flooding occurring at Willara Crossing.
Paroo River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River (NSW).
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing peaked at 0.90 metres around 03:15 am Wednesday 17 August and is currently at 0.87 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is likely to remain above the minor flood level (0.70 m) during Sunday.
