Minor Flood Warning For The Bogan River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MUDALL AND MULGAWARRINA
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT GONGOLGON FROM THIS WEEKEND
Rainfall across the Bogan catchment last week has caused renewed river rises and prolonged flooding.
The main flood peak along the Bogan River is currently at Nyngan, where river levels are currently peaking below the moderate flood level (3.50 metres).
These floodwaters have caused renewed minor flooding at Mulgawarrina (estimated) and are likely to cause renewed minor flooding at Gongolgon from this weekend.
Bogan River to Nyngan:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Bogan River at Mudall.
The Bogan River at Mudall peaked near 3.00 metres Tuesday morning (estimated) with moderate flooding, and is currently falling, with minor flooding.
The Bogan River at Mudall is expected to remain above the minor flood level (2.70 m) until early next week.
Lower Bogan River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Bogan River at Mulgawarrina (estimated). Renewed minor flooding is likely at Gongolgon.
The Bogan River at Mulgawarrina may reach around 4.60 metres around Tuesday next week, with minor flooding. Further rises are possible.
The Bogan River at Gongolgon is likely to exceed the minor flood level (0.80 m) during Sunday. The river level may reach near 0.90 metres midweek next week, with minor flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT COTTONS WEIR, JEMALONG AND DOWNSTREAM
Floodwaters from the upper Lachlan River and its tributaries have caused renewed and prolonged flooding, along the Lachlan River.
The main flood peak along the Lachlan River has passed Forbes Friday morning, where the river peaked below the minor flood level (8.80 metres). This flood peak is now at Cottons Weir, where river levels are currently steady above the minor flood level (3.50 metres).
Downstream of Cottons Weir, minor flooding occurring at Jemalong, Condobolin and Euabalong.
At Hillston and Booligal, river levels remain steady above minor flood levels due to an earlier extended flood peak.
A Flood Watch is current for the Lachlan River to Cottons Weir, the Belubula River and Mandagery Creek.
Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam to Jemalong Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir and Jemalong.
The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir is currently at 4.27 metres and steady, near its peak, with minor flooding.
The Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir Downstream may peak near 7.40 metres during Sunday, with minor flooding.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Lachlan River at Condobolin and Euabalong.
The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge is likely to remain around 5.50 metres during the weekend, with minor flooding.
The Lachlan River at Euabalong may reach around 6.60 metres during Monday, with minor flooding.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Euabalong to Booligal Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Lachlan River at Hillston and Booligal.
The Lachlan River at Hillston Weir may reach around 2.60 metres by the end of August, with minor flooding.
The Lachlan River at Booligal Weir may reach around 2.90 metres over the weekend, with minor flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WELLINGTON AND LIKELY AT NARROMINE FRIDAY
Spills from the Burrendong Dam combined with local rainfall have caused renewed and prolonged flooding along the Macquarie River.
River levels remain steady above the minor flood level along the Macquarie River at Wellington. Minor flooding is likely at Narromine during Friday.
Moderate flooding is occurring at Warren, where river levels may reach the major flood level (9.00 metres) late Friday.
Macquarie River downstream of Burrendong Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River at Wellington and is likely at Narromine . Moderate flooding is occurring at Warren, with major flooding possible.
The Macquarie River at Wellington Bridge is currently at 5.58 metres and steady, with minor flooding.
The Macquarie River at Narromine is likely to exceed the minor flood level (5.50 m) during Friday. The river level may reach around 6.50 metres Saturday morning, with minor flooding.
The Macquarie River at Warren Town may reach the major flood level (9.00 metres) late Friday. The river level is likely to remain around the major flood level over the weekend.

The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) has fallen below the minor flood level (5.30 metres).
The main flood peak along the Namoi River is now approaching Bugilbone, where river levels are likely to peak early next week, with minor flooding.
Minor flooding continues along the Namoi River at Goangra.

Minor flooding is occurring at Bugilbone and Goangra.
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) peaked at 6.18 metres around 09:15 am Thursday 18 August, with minor flooding. The river level fell below the minor flood level (5.30 metres) early Thursday morning.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone may peak near 5.30 metres around Monday, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Goangra may reach 6.00 metres around mid next week, with minor flooding.
