FLOODING POSSIBLE IN THE NEW SOUTH WALES INLAND RIVERS FROM FRIDAY
A cold front associated with a low pressure system is expected to bring showers and rain to western New South Wales from Thursday, extending to eastern parts of the state during Friday. This rainfall may cause widespread minor to moderate and possibly major flooding along rivers inland NSW, many of which experienced flooding due the rainfall last week.
The weather system is expected to cause renewed flooding for the following catchments listed from Friday. Flood Classes (minor, moderate, major) are only defined for catchments where the Bureau provides a flood warning service.

Upper Macintyre River
Gwydir River
Peel River
Namoi River
Castlereagh River
Macquarie River to Bathurst
Orange, Molong and Bell River
Macquarie River d/s Burrendong Dam
Bogan River
Lachlan River to Cotton's Weir
Belubula River
Mandagery Creek
Tumut River
Murrumbidgee River to Wagga Wagga
Flood Warnings are current for the following catchments: Namoi, Macquarie, Bogan, Lachlan, Murrumbidgee, Murray, Mirrool Creek, Culgoa, Narran and Darling.

This Flood Watch means that people living or working along rivers and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop.
Flood Warnings will be issued if Minor Flood Level is expected to be exceeded at key sites along the main rivers for which the Bureau of Meteorology provides a flood warning service.
Severe Weather Warnings will be issued or updated if very heavy rain is forecast or observed.

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT WARREN
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WELLINGTON
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River at Warren, where river levels peaked Monday morning.
In response to upstream dam releases, at Wellington Bridge, river levels are expected to remain steady above the minor flood level over the next few days.
Macquarie River downstream of Burrendong Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River at Wellington. Moderate flooding is occurring at Warren.
The Macquarie River at Wellington Bridge is expected to remain around 5.70 metres during Wednesday, with minor flooding.
The Macquarie River at Warren town peaked near 9.20 metres around 11:30 am Monday morning and is currently falling, with moderate flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT NANAMI, COTTONS WEIR AND BOOLIGAL
MINOR FLOODING EXPECTED AT JEMALONG
Minor flooding is occurring at Nanami, where river levels are likely to peak Wednesday afternoon.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir, where river levels peaked on Monday afternoon.
The main flood peak is approaching Jemalong Weir, where minor flooding is expected from Wednesday afternoon. Minor flooding is occurring at Booligal where the river level is expected to remain elevated over the weekend.
Renewed river level rises are possible along the Lachlan River over the weekend.
Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam to Jemalong Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring at Nanami and Cottons Weir, and is expected at Jemalong.
The Lachlan River at Nanami is likely to peak near 7.50 metres Wednesday afternoon, with minor flooding.
The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir peaked at 4.39 metres around 06:00 pm Monday and is currently at 4.10 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir is likely to remain around the minor flood level (3.50 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
The Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir Downstream is expected to peak around the minor flood level (7.20 m) Wednesday afternoon.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Euabalong to Booligal Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Lachlan River at Booligal Weir.
The Lachlan River at Booligal Weir may reach around 2.90 metres over the weekend with minor flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT DANDALOO AND GONGOLGON
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MUDALL OVER THE WEEKEND
The main flood peak along the Bogan River has passed Gongolgon, where minor flooding is occurring.
A second and smaller flood peak is now approaching Dandaloo, where minor flooding is occurring. Minor flooding is possible along the Bogan River at Mudall over the weekend.
Bogan River to Nyngan:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Bogan River at Dandaloo and is possible at Mudall.
The Bogan River at Dandaloo may peak near 5.00 metres late Wednesday, with minor flooding.
The Bogan River at Mudall may reach the minor flood level (2.70 metres) over the weekend.
Lower Bogan River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Bogan River at Gongolgon.
The Bogan River at Gongolgon peaked at 0.96 metres around 12:30 pm Tuesday 09 August, with minor flooding.

Moderate rainfall late last week has caused minor flooding along Mirrool Creek at East Mirrool Regulator. River levels peaked late Monday night and are currently easing.

Minor flooding is occurring along Mirrool Creek at East Mirrool Regulator.
The Mirrool Creek at East Mirrool Regulator peaked at 1.49 metres around 10:00 pm Monday night and is currently at 1.08 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
