MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT COROWA
Spills from the Hume Dam combined with flood waters from the Kiewa River have caused minor flooding along the Murray River at Corowa. At Corowa, river levels are likely to remain steady above the minor flood level (4.60 metres) through to the end of the week.
The Murray River at Albury is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.30 metres).
River levels downstream of Corowa are likely to remain below minor flood levels.
Murray River downstream of Hume Dam to Tocumwal:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Murray River at Corowa.
The Murray River at Corowa is likely to remain near 5.40 metres through to the end of the week, with minor flooding.

FLOODING POSSIBLE IN NSW CENTRAL WEST, SOUTH WEST, AND RIVERINA FROM FRIDAY
A cold front is expected to bring showers and rain to South West New South Wales from Friday. This rainfall may cause minor and possibly moderate flooding along rivers in the Central West, South West, and Riverina from Friday, many of which have experienced flooding due to previous rainfall in recent weeks.
Catchments are currently wet or saturated from rainfall in recent weeks.
The weather system may cause renewed flooding for the following catchments listed from Friday. Flood Classes (minor, moderate, major) are only defined for catchments where the Bureau provides a flood warning service.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Lachlan River to Cotton's Weir
Belubula River
Mandagery Creek
Tumut River
Murrumbidgee River to Wagga Wagga
Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta Rivers
Flood Warnings are current for the following catchments: Namoi, Castlereagh, Macquarie, Bogan, Lachlan, Murrumbidgee, Murray, Culgoa, Paroo, Darling, and Macintyre.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT COTTONS WEIR , CONDOBOLIN, HILLSTON AND BOOLIGAL
MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT EUABALONG FROM THURSDAY
Floodwaters from the upper Lachlan River and its tributaries have caused renewed and prolonged flooding.
A flood peak is now approaching Cotton's Weir, where minor flooding is occurring. Downstream, these floodwaters have also caused minor flooding at Condobolin and are likely to cause minor flooding at Euabalong from Thursday.
At Hillston and Booligal, river levels remain steady above minor flood levels due to an earlier extended flood peak.
Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam to Jemalong Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir.
The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir may reach near 3.80 metres during Thursday, with minor flooding.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Lachlan River at Condobolin, and possible at Euabalong.
The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge may reach around 5.50 metres during Friday, with minor flooding.
The Lachlan River at Euabalong is likely to exceed the minor flood level (6.40 m) during Thursday. The river level may reach around 6.60 metres during Monday, with minor flooding.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Euabalong to Booligal Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Lachlan River at Hillston and Booligal.
The Lachlan River at Hillston Weir may reach around 2.60 metres by the end of August, with minor flooding.
The Lachlan River at Booligal Weir may reach around 2.90 metres over the weekend, with minor flooding.

Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Murrumbidgee River

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT HAY TOWN FROM LATE NEXT WEEK
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT DARLINGTON POINT AND POSSIBLE AT CARRATHOOL AND HAY TOWN FROM NEXT WEEK
The main flood peak along the Murrumbidgee River is at Narrandera where river levels have peaked on Tuesday afternoon with moderate flooding. River levels are expected to remain elevated for the next few days.
Minor flooding is occurring at Darlington Point. As floodwaters continue to extend downstream, a minor flood peak is expected around Friday.
Minor flooding is possible at Carrathool and Hay from mid next week. During late August Hay may reach moderate flooding.
Moderate rainfall is expected later this week which may result in renewed river level rises in the upper parts of the Murrumbidgee catchment. If required warnings may be reissued for Tumut, Gundagai or Wagga Wagga.
Flood operations are being conducted by WaterNSW at Burrinjuck Dam and spillway releases have commenced. The releases may vary subject to inflow rates. The release plan follows consultation with the SES and local communities. WaterNSW are working closely with the Bureau, NSW SES and landholders with releases taken into account into the flood forecasts and warnings.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Burrinjuck to Wagga Wagga:
Minor flooding may occur along the Murrumbidgee River downstream of Burrinjuck to Wagga Wagga.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Wagga Wagga to Narrandera:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera.
The Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera peaked at 7.53 metres around 05:00 pm Tuesday 16 August and is currently at 7.50 metres and falling slowly with moderate flooding.
The Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (7.30 m) for the remainder of the week.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Narrandera to Darlington Point:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point.
The Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point may reach near 6.40 metres around Friday, with minor flooding.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Darlington Point to Balranald Weir:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Murrumbidgee River at Hay. Minor flooding is possible at Carrathool.
The Murrumbidgee River at Carrathool may exceed the minor flood level (7.00 m) mid next week.
The Murrumbidgee River at Hay Town may exceed the minor flood level (6.50 m) mid next week. The river level may reach the moderate flood level (7.50 m) late next week.
