Minor To Major Flood Warning For The Macquarie River

MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WARREN
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WELLINGTON
Moderate rainfall late last week has caused minor to major flooding along the Macquarie River. The main flood peak has passed Gin Gin Weir and is now approaching Warren, where major flooding is occurring.
In response to upstream dam releases, at Wellington Bridge, the Macquarie River is expected to remain steady above minor flood levels from Monday morning. River levels downstream at Dubbo are expected to remain below minor flood levels.
Macquarie River downstream of Burrendong Dam:
Major flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River at Warren.
The Macquarie River at Wellington Bridge is expected to remain near 5.00 metres through to Tuesday morning, with minor flooding.
Based on recent manual river level observations, the Macquarie River at Warren is near 9.15 metres and rising slowly.
The Macquarie River at Warren town gauge is likely to peak near 9.25 metres around Monday afternoon, with major flooding.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT DANDALOO MONDAY MORNING
The main flood peak along the Bogan River has passed Monkey Bridge and is now approaching Gongolgon, where a moderate flood peak is possible Monday night.
Along the Bogan River upstream of Gongolgon, a second, smaller flood peak is now approaching Dandaloo, where minor flooding is possible from Monday morning.
Bogan River to Nyngan:
Minor flooding is possible along the Bogan River at Dandaloo.
The Bogan River at Dandaloo may peak near the minor flood level (4.10 metres) around Monday morning.
Lower Bogan River:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Lower Bogan River at Gongolgon.
The Bogan River at Gongolgon may peak near the moderate flood level (1.00 metres) around Monday night.

MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT ANGLEDOOL FROM SATURDAY
MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT BRENDA FROM SATURDAY
Significant river level rises have been observed along the Narren River at Dirranbandi in Queensland, which has caused minor flooding along the Narren River at Angledool, and further rises to moderate flood level (3.5m) are likely during Saturday. Moderate flooding is likely to continue into next week.
Along the Culgoa river, minor flooding is likely to occur from Saturday.
Culgoa River:
Minor flooding likely at Brenda over the weekend.
The Culgoa River at Brenda is likely to reach the minor flood level (4.90 m) during Saturday. The river level is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.90 m) during the weekend.
Narran River:
Minor flooding is occurring at Angledool, moderate flooding possible over the weekend.
The Narran River at New Angledool No 2 is currently at 3.46 metres and rising with minor flooding.
The Narran River at New Angledool No 2 is expected to reach the moderate flood level (3.50 m) during Saturday. Moderate flooding is likely to continue into early next week.

Minor Flood Warning For The Darling River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WILCANNIA, MENINDEE, POONCARIE AND BURTUNDY
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Wilcannia, where the river peaked above the moderate flood level on Sunday 24 July.
The main flood peak along the Darling River is now approaching Menindee.
At Menindee, the river level is likely to remain near 9.00 metres through to midweek next week as WaterNSW plans to maintain current release levels. Subject to inflow conditions, the current release level may be extended further. The release plan follows consultation with the SES and local communities.
Downstream of Menindee, minor flooding is occurring at Pooncarie and Burtundy.
Darling River downstream of Tilpa to Wilcannia:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Wilcannia.
The Darling River at Wilcannia peaked around 9.85 metres on Sunday 24 July, with moderate flooding and is currently at 9.00 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
Darling River downstream of Wilcannia to Burtundy:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Menindee, Pooncarie, and Burtundy.
The Darling River at Menindee Town is likely to remain near 9.00 metres through to midweek next week, with minor flooding.
The Darling River at Pooncarie is currently at 6.86 metres and peaking, with minor flooding.
Depending on the release level from Menindee Lakes, the Darling River at Pooncarie may remain above the minor flood level (6.80 m) through to mid August.
The Darling River at Burtundy may peak near 6.70 metres over the weekend, with minor flooding.
