Minor Flood Warning For The Darling River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MENINDEE, POONCARIE AND BURTUNDY
The main flood peak along the Darling River is currently passing Menindee, where minor flooding is occurring.
The river level at Menindee is likely to remain steady above the minor flood level through to the end of August as WaterNSW plans to maintain current release levels. Subject to inflow conditions, the current release level may be extended further. The release plan follows consultation with the SES and local communities.
Downstream of Menindee, minor flooding is occurring at Pooncarie and Burtundy, where river levels are steady.

Darling River downstream of Wilcannia to Burtundy:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Menindee, Pooncarie, and Burtundy.
The Darling River at Menindee town gauge is likely to remain near 9.00 metres through to the end of August, with minor flooding.

The Darling River at Pooncarie is likely to remain near 6.90 metres through to mid September, with minor flooding.

The Darling River at Burtundy is likely to remain near 6.70 metres through to late September, with minor flooding.

Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Bogan River

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MUDALL ON TUESDAY
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MULGAWARRINA AND GONGOLGON DURING LATE AUGUST
Rainfall across the Bogan catchment last week has caused renewed river rises and prolonged flooding.
The main flood peak has passed Peak Hill and Dandaloo, where flooding has eased. This peak is now approaching Mudall, where minor flooding is occurring (estimated) and moderate flooding is possible Tuesday.
An earlier flood peak along the Bogan River has passed Gongolgon, where flooding has eased. River levels may remain elevated near the minor flood level as floodwaters from last week's rainfall continue to extend downstream.

Bogan River to Nyngan:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Bogan River at Mudall.
The Bogan River at Dandaloo fell below the minor flood level (4.10 metres) on Sunday morning.

Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Bogan River at Mudall.
The river level may reach the moderate flood level (3.00 m) around Tuesday.

Lower Bogan River:
Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Lower Bogan River at Mulgawarrina and Gongolgon.
The Bogan River at Mulgawarrina may reach the minor flood level (4.20 metres) around 22-24 August. Further rises are possible.

The Bogan River at Gongolgon fell below the minor flood level (0.80 metres) around midnight Sunday into Monday.
The Bogan River at Gongolgon may remain elevated near the minor flood level (0.80 metres) through to Wednesday.

MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AT WILLARA CROSSING
Flood waters from the Paroo River in Queensland have reached New South Wales, with minor flooding occuring at Willara Crossing.

Paroo River (NSW):
Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River (NSW).

The Paroo River at Willara Crossing may reach 1.00 metres around mid this week, with minor flooding. Further rises are possible.

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT BRENDA
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WEILMORINGLE AND KENEBREE OVER THE WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK
Along the Culgoa River, the main flood peak has arrived at Brenda, where moderate flooding is occurring.
The Culgoa River at Brenda peaked at 5.51 metres Friday morning, with moderate flooding and is currently falling.
As flood waters extend downstream, minor flooding is possible at Weilmoringle later this weekend and at Kenebree from late next week.

Culgoa River:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Brenda from Thursday afternoon. Minor flooding is possible at Weilmoringle and Kenebree.
The Culgoa River at Brenda peaked at 5.51 metres around 06:00 am Friday 12 August, with moderate flooding and is currently at 5.39 metres and falling, with moderate flooding.

The Culgoa River at Weilmoringle may reach the minor flood level (5.20 metres) later this weekend.

The Culgoa River at Kenebree may reach around 5.20 metres late next week, with minor flooding.
