MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT COTTONS WEIR, JEMALONG AND BOOLIGAL
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT FORBES, HILLSTON AND CONDOBOLIN
The main flood peak is approaching Forbes, where minor flooding is possible during Saturday evening.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir, where a minor flood peak is likely during Saturday.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir, where minor flood peak is likely during Friday into Saturday morning.
Minor flooding is possible along the Lower Lachlan River at Condobolin during Thursday.
Minor flooding is occurring at Booligal where the river level is expected to remain steady over the weekend.
Minor flooding is possible along the The Lachlan River at Hillston over this weekend and expected to remain around the minor flood level (2.40 m) for next few days.
A flood watch is current for Lachlan River.
Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam to Jemalong Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring at Cottons Weir and Jemalong, and is possible at Forbes.
The Lachlan River at Forbes Iron Bridge may reach the minor flood level (8.80 m) during Saturday evening.
The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir is likely to peak near 4.80 metres, with minor flooding during Saturday evening.
The Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir Downstream is likely to peak around the minor flood level (7.30 m) during Friday into Saturday morning.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong:
Minor flooding is possible along the Lower Lachlan River at Condobolin
The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge may reach the minor flood level (5.20 m) during Thursday.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Euabalong to Booligal Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Lachlan River at Booligal Weir and possible at Hillston.
The Lachlan River at Hillston Weir is expected to remain around the minor flood level (2.40 m) over the weekend.
The Lachlan River at Booligal Weir may reach around 2.90 metres over the weekend with minor flooding.

Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Murrumbidgee River

MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT NARRANDERA AND POSSIBLE AT HAY
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WAGGA WAGGA AND NARRANDERA AND LIKELY AT DARLINGTON POINT AND CARRATHOOL
River levels along the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai and Wagga Wagga continue to ease. Minor flooding continues at Wagga Wagga and river levels have fallen below the minor flood level at Gundagai.
The main flood peak along the Murrumbidgee River is now approaching Narrandera, where moderate flooding is possible from Sunday. A peak is likely to arrive at Narrandera early next week.
Minor flooding is possible at Darlington Point this weekend as floodwaters continue to extend downstream.
During late August, moderate flooding is possible at Hay and minor flooding is possible at Carrathool.
Flood operations are being conducted by WaterNSW at Burrinjuck Dam and spillway releases have commenced. The releases may vary subject to inflow rates. The release plan follows consultation with the SES and local communities. WaterNSW are working closely with the Bureau, NSW SES and landholders with releases taken into account into the flood forecasts and warnings.
A Flood Watch is current for the Tumut and Murrumbidgee Rivers.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Burrinjuck to Wagga Wagga:
Minor flooding is occurring at Wagga Wagga.
The Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai fell below the minor flood level late Thursday night.
The Murrumbidgee River at Wagga Wagga peaked at 8.74 metres around 08:00 am Tuesday and is currently at 7.78 metres and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The Murrumbidgee River at Wagga Wagga is likely to remain above the minor flood level (7.30 metres) through to Sunday.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Wagga Wagga to Narrandera:
Moderate flooding is likely along the Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera.
The Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (7.30 m) around Sunday. The river level may reach near 7.60 metres around Monday with moderate flooding.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Narrandera to Darlington Point:
Minor flooding may occur along the Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point.
The Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point is likely to exceed the minor flood level (5.50 metres) during Saturday. The river level may reach near 6.60 metres around 17-19 August, with minor flooding.
Murrumbidgee River downstream of Darlington Point to Balranald Weir:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Murrumbidgee River at Hay. Minor flooding is possible at Carrathool.
The Murrumbidgee River at Carrathool may reach near 7.40 metres around 20-22 August, with minor flooding.
The Murrumbidgee River at Hay Town may reach near 7.80 metres around 23-25 August, with moderate flooding.

Spills from the Hume Dam combined with floodwaters from the Kiewa River have caused minor flooding along the Murray River at Corowa where river levels are likely to peak Friday morning.
The Murray River at Albury is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.30 metres).
River levels downstream of Corowa are likely to remain below the minor flood levels.
