Flood Watch For The Border Rivers, Upper Condamine, And Weir Catchments
Issued at 10:14 AM EST on Saturday 13 August 2022
Flood Watch Number: 3
ISOLATED MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM LATE SATURDAY
A rain band over southwest Queensland will continue to move east across southern Queensland during Saturday and may bring further showers and rain to the Flood Watch area. This rain may result in isolated minor flooding from late Saturday along rivers and tributaries of the Border Rivers, upper Condamine, and Weir catchments.
Catchments in the Flood Watch area are generally saturated from recent rainfall. Smaller creeks and tributaries may respond rapidly to further rainfall.
The weather system may cause riverine flooding from late Saturday. Localised flash flooding remains a risk with heavy rainfall.
Catchments which may be affected include:
Condamine Rivers
Macintyre River
Weir River
