MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT SELLHEIM
MAJOR FLOODING LIKELY AT TAEMAS LATE SATURDAY MORNING
MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT INKERMAN BRIDGE OVERNIGHT SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY
Heavy rainfall observed since 9:00 am Thursday has resulted in river level rises along the Burdekin, Cape, Belyando and Suttor Rivers.
River level rises are occurring along the Cape River, where major flooding is likely at Taemas from Saturday morning. River level rises are also occurring along the Belyando and Suttor Rivers, where moderate flooding is likely at St Anns during Saturday morning.
River level rises are occurring along the Burdekin River where major flooding is occurring at Sellheim, moderate flooding is occurring at Dalbeg, Clare and Inkerman Bridge. Major flooding is possible at Inkerman Bridge overnight Saturday into Sunday.
Further rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days. A Severe Weather Warning is current for parts of North Tropical Coast and Tablelands and Herbert and Lower Burdekin Forecast Districts.
The flood situation is being closely monitored and forecasts and warnings will be updated as required.
Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Moderate flooding is likely along the Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 6.30 metres and steady, with minor flooding.
The Suttor River at St Anns may reach the moderate flood level (6.50 m) Saturday morning. The river level is likely to remain around the moderate flood level during the weekend. Further rises are possible with the arrival of upstream flow
Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Major flooding is likely along the Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Cape River at Taemas is currently at 7.51 metres and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Cape River at Taemas is likely to reach the major flood level (8.00 m) late Saturday morning. The river level may remain around the major flood level (8.00 m) during the weekend. Further rises are possible with the arrival of upstream flow.
Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Major flooding is occurring along the Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim is currently at 16.35 metres and rising, with major flooding.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim may reach around 17.00 metres late Saturday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Burdekin River at Burdekin Dam is currently at 5.43 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Burdekin River at Burdekin Dam is likely to reach the moderate flood level (5.50 m) Saturday morning. The river level may reach around 6.00 metres Saturday afternoon with moderate flooding. Further rises are possible with the arrival of upstream flow.
Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam:
Major flooding may occur along the Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is currently at 16.98 metres and rising, above the moderate flood level (15.00 m).
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is likely to reach around 18.00 metres Saturday afternoon with moderate flooding. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Burdekin River at Clare is currently at 14.10 metres and rising, above the moderate flood level (13.00 m).
The Burdekin River at Clare is likely to reach around 15.00 metres Saturday afternoon with moderate flooding. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge is currently at 11.08 metres and rising, above the moderate flood level (10.00 m).
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge is likely to reach around 11.50 metres Saturday afternoon with moderate flooding. The river level may reach the major flood level (12.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Flood Watch For Parts Of The Gulf Country And Thomson River Catchments

MINOR TO MAJOR FLOODING IS CURRENT ACROSS MULTIPLE CATCHMENTS IN THE NORTH TROPICAL COAST, CENTRAL COAST, GULF, AND LAKE EYRE BASIN.
FURTHER FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN PARTS OF THE GULF COUNTRY AND THOMSON RIVER CATCHMENTS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS
The monsoon trough extends across north Queensland and will linger for several days, potentially drifting northward later this weekend or early next week. A weak tropical low may form in the trough near the northeast tropical coast over the weekend before moving offshore and away from the east coast from Sunday or the early days of next week.
Catchments across the Flood Watch area are dry to moderately wet in some areas.
Isolated heavy rainfall with areas of monsoonal rain and isolated thunderstorms is possible over much of northern Queensland and parts of inland Queensland for the next several days.
River level rises and flooding is possible across the Flood Watch area. Elevated tides are also occurring which may enhance flooding in coastal parts of the Flood Watch area.
Isolation of communities and disruption to transport routes are possible over the next few days.

Upper Flinders River

Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam
Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Gilbert River, Tully and Murray Rivers, Herbert River, Ross, Bohle and Black Rivers and Bluewater Creek, Haughton River, Don and Proserpine Rivers, Connors and Isaac Rivers, Pioneer River, Diamantina River, Flinders River, Barcoo River and parts of the Burdekin River.

Moderate Flood Warning For The Connors And Isaac Rivers

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT YATTON
Moderate to heavy rainfall totals have been observed over the northeast part of the Fitzroy River Catchment since Monday, this has resulted in river and creek level rises along the Connors and Isaac Rivers. Moderate flooding is occurring on the Connors River at Pink Lagoon and Isaac River at Yatton.
Showers and possible heavy rainfall at times are forecast over the next few days, which may cause further river and creek level rises.
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Connors and Isaac Rivers.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 10.31 metres and rising, above the moderate flood level (9.50 m).
The Isaac River at Yatton is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (9.50 m) into the weekend. The river level may reach around 13.50 metres Saturday morning, with moderate flooding. Further rises are likely and peak predictions will be provided once upstream peaks are observed.
