Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for Damaging Winds, Large Hailstones And Heavy Rainfall

for parts of Central Highlands and Coalfields and Maranoa and Warrego Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms continue in southern inland Queensland.

Weather Situation
A surface trough in the Queensland interior, connected to a low in the Maranoa and Warrego, is immersed in a moist and unstable airmass. Severe thunderstorms are possible throughout interior and coastal parts of the state this afternoon.
DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Central Highlands and Coalfields and Maranoa and Warrego
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Roma, Mitchell, Injune and Surat.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Herbert and Lower Burdekin district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Herbert and Lower Burdekin

Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.

The next warning is due to be issued by 6:25 pm.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and emergency services would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.

Minor Flood Warning For The Upper Burdekin, Lower Burdekin And Suttor Rivers And Final Flood Warning For The Cape River

MINOR FLOODING EASING AT INKERMAN BRIDGE
Minor flooding is expected to continue easing downstream of the Burdekin Falls Dam during the remainder of Friday and into the weekend.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Suttor River at St Anns. Flooding has eased at Taemas along the Cape River.
Showers are forecast over parts of the catchment for the next few days, however these are not expected to result in further river level rises.
The flood situation is being closely monitored and forecasts and warnings will be updated as required.

Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 5.75 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Suttor River at St Anns is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) into the weekend.

Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Flooding is no longer occurring along the Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Cape River at Taemas is currently at 4.96 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (5.00 m).
The Cape River at Taemas is expected to remain below the minor flood level.

Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Burdekin River at Burdekin Dam is currently at 4.78 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Burdekin River at Burdekin Dam is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) into the weekend.

Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is currently at 14.58 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is likely to remain above the minor flood level (10.00 m) into the weekend.

The Burdekin River at Clare is currently at 12.60 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Burdekin River at Clare is likely to remain above the minor flood level (9.00 m) into the weekend.

The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge was estimate to be at approximately 9.80 metres at 7:01 am Friday and falling, with minor flooding.
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge is likely to remain above the minor flood level (7.00 m) into the weekend.

Final Flood Warning For The Isaac River

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT YATTON
River levels along the Isaac River at Yatton fell below the minor flood level Thursday evening.
No significant rainfall has been observed in the Fitzroy River catchment for the last few days.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast in the Fitzroy River catchment over the next few days. The Isaac River catchment is saturated and may respond quickly to further heavy rainfall. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will resume if required.

Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Flooding is no longer occurring along the Isaac River.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 6.05 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (7.50 m).
The Isaac River at Yatton is expected to remain below the minor flood level during the remainder of Friday and into the weekend. Renewed river level rises are possible from Monday with forecast rainfall.
