Moderate Flood Warning For The South Esk River

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT LEWIS HILL AND FINGAL FROM LATE MONDAY MORNING
Moderate flooding may develop along the St Pauls River at Lewis Hill from late Monday morning. Moderate flooding may develop along the South Esk River at Fingal overnight Sunday into Monday. Minor flooding is likely to develop at Llewellyn Sunday evening.
In the 24 hours to 8:00 am Sunday, rainfall totals of 20-75 mm have been observed across the South Esk River catchment. Rainfall totals of 20-40 mm are forecast for the South Esk River catchment for the remainder of Sunday.
Break O'Day River:
River rises are expected along the Break O'Day River during Sunday.
South Esk River above Fingal:
River rises are occurring along the South Esk River above Fingal from Sunday morning.
St Pauls River:
Moderate flooding may occur along the St Pauls River.
The St Pauls River at Lewis Hill is currently at 2.15 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The St Pauls River at Lewis Hill may reach the moderate flood level (2.60 m) late Sunday morning. A moderate flood peak may occur Sunday afternoon.
South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn:
Moderate flooding may occur along the South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn.
The South Esk River at Fingal is currently at 3.55 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The South Esk River at Fingal is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) late Sunday morning. The river level may reach the moderate flood level (5.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn is currently at 2.14 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Sunday evening. The river level may reach around 4.50 metres Monday morning.
Nile River:
River rises are occurring along the Nile River from Sunday morning.
