RIVER LEVELS EASING ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA DURING TUESDAY
Showery conditions will continue during Tuesday as a low pressure system moves well away to the southeast.
Catchments are relatively wet across the flood watch area and rivers are responsive to rainfall.
In the 24 hours to 11:00 am Tuesday rainfall totals of 5-50 mm have been observed in the flood watch area.
Further rainfall totals of 5-10 mm are forecast for the remainder of Tuesday.
River levels are easing across the flood watch area during Tuesday. Strong and dangerous flows may be a hazard over the next few days.
Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchments:
East Coastal Rivers (north of Bicheno)
Ringarooma River
North Coastal Rivers
Channel Coastal Rivers (South East Cape to Gordon)
Derwent River
East Coastal Rivers (south of Bicheno)
South East
Flood warnings are current for: North Esk River, South Esk River, Meander River, Macquarie River and Jordan River.
