Minor Flood Warning For The Huon River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT TAHUNE BRIDGE
Minor flooding is occurring along the Huon River around Tahune Bridge. Minor flooding may extend downstream to Judbury and Huonville during Sunday overnight.
In the 24 hours to 5:00 pm Sunday, rainfall totals of 20-70 mm were recorded in the Huon River Catchment, with an isolated total of 105 mm at Hartz Mountains. Widespread rainfall totals of 5-10 mm are forecast for the remainder of Sunday.

Huon River above Tahune:
River levels remain elevated along the Huon River at Harrisons Opening overnight Sunday into Monday.
Picton River:
River levels remain elevated along the Picton River during overnight Sunday into Monday.
Huon River - Tahune to Judbury:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Huon River - Tahune to Judbury.
The Huon River at Tahune Bridge is currently at 4.78 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Huon River at Tahune Bridge may peak near 5.20 metres Sunday evening. The river level may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) Monday morning.

The Huon River at Judbury is currently at 2.98 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Huon River at Judbury may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) Sunday night.

Huon River around Huonville:
Minor flooding may occur along the Huon River around Huonville.
The Huon River at Huonville is currently at 2.35 metres and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Huon River at Huonville may peak near the minor flood level (3.00 m) Sunday night with the high tide.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MAURICETON
Minor flooding is occurring along the Jordan River at Mauriceton.
In the 24 hours to 4:00 pm Sunday, rainfall totals of 15-30 mm have been recorded in the Jordan River catchment. Rainfall totals of up to 10 mm are forecast for the remainder of Sunday.

Jordan River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Jordan River.

No readings are currently available for The Jordan River at Mauriceton. The last reading was 0.57 metres and rising at 9:30 am on Sunday. However, the current river level is expected to be above the minor flood level.
The Jordan River at Mauriceton may peak near 1.40 metres (minor flood level 0.90 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.

River rises are likely along the Coal River during Sunday.
In the 24 hours to 9:00am Sunday, rainfall totals of 20-55 mm have been recorded in the Coal River catchment. Widespread rainfall totals of up to 5mm are forecast for the remainder of Sunday.
Strong and dangerous flows may be a hazard over the next few days.
