Warning to Sheep Graziers

for North West Coast, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
North West Coast, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and westerly winds are expected during Thursday and Friday. Areas likely to be affected include the Upper Derwent Valley forecast district and parts of the North West Coast, Midlands, East Coast and South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 pm EDT Thursday.

for North East and East Coast Forecast Districts.

Damaging winds have eased across the state.

Weather Situation
Vigorous northwesterly winds have eased in the wake of a cold front that passed the state today.

North East and East Coast
This warning is now cancelled. Other warnings may be current. Please check https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts/.
Significant wind observations to 10:50 am AEDT include:
104 km/h wind gust was recorded at Larapuna (Eddystone Point) at 10:46 am.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Supervise children closely.
* Do not walk, ride or drive through flood waters.
* Beware of damaged trees and power lines and take care when driving.
* Listen to the ABC radio or check www.ses.tas.gov.au for further advice.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132500.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
