Minor Flood Warning For The Kiewa River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT KIEWA (MAIN STREAM) AND BANDIANA
Minor flooding is easing slowly along the Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream) and minor flooding is expected to continue at Bandiana during Monday and into Tuesday.
In the 24 hours to 1:00 pm Monday, rainfall totals up to 7 mm have been recorded in the Kiewa River catchment. No significant rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Monday.

Kiewa River to Mongans Bridge:
Flooding is no longer expected along the Kiewa River to Mongans Bridge.
Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge.
The Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream) is currently at 3.34 metres and easing slowly, with minor flooding.
The Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream) is likely to fall below the minor flood level (3.30 m) late Monday afternoon.

The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 2.90 metres and steady, with minor flooding.
The Kiewa River at Bandiana is expected to remain above the minor flood level (2.80 m) during Monday and into Tuesday.

SES advises that all community members should:
Never walk, ride or drive through floodwater
Never allow children to play in floodwater
Stay away from waterways and stormwater drains during and after heavy rain
Keep well clear of fallen power lines
Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks, and heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads.}

Minor Flood Warning For The Murray River Upstream Of Lake Hume

MINOR FLOODING EASING AT BRINGENBRONG AND JINGELLIC
Minor flooding is easing slowly along the Upper Murray River at Bringenbrong and Jingellic. River levels are likely to fall below the minor flood level during late Monday morning.
Snowy Hydro advise that as of 10:00 am Saturday releases from Khancoban are at 113 cumecs (minor flow level 114 cumecs) and that releases are expected to remain steady over the next few days.
In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Monday, no significant rainfall has been observed. No significant rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Monday.

Murray River to Biggara:
River levels along the Murray River to Biggara remain elevated.
Swampy Plains River:
Minor flooding is no longer occurring along the Swampy Plains River.
Snowy Hydro advises that releases from Khancoban pondage are at 113 cumecs (below the minor flood flow 114 cumecs) and steady.

Murray River Biggara to Bringenbrong:
Minor flooding is easing along the Murray River Biggara to Bringenbrong.
The Murray River at Bringenbrong is currently at 3.02 metres and easing slowly, with minor flooding.
The Murray River at Bringenbrong is likely to fall below the minor flood level (3.00 m) late Monday morning.

Murray River Bringenbrong to Lake Hume:
Minor flooding is easing along the Murray River Bringenbrong to Lake Hume.
The Murray River at Jingellic is currently at 4.06 metres and easing slowly, with minor flooding.
The Murray River at Jingellic is likely to fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) late Monday morning.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WANGARATTA
River levels along the Ovens River at Rocky Point peaked early Sunday morning and a minor flood peak is approaching Wangaratta late Monday morning. Minor flooding is easing along the King River at Docker Rd Bridge.
In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Sunday, rainfall totals up to 8 mm have been recorded in the Ovens and King catchment. No significant rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Monday.

King River:
Minor flooding is easing along the King River.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is currently at 3.72 metres and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is likely to fall below the minor flood level (3.70 m) Monday morning.

Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point.
The Ovens River at Wangaratta is currently at 11.93 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Ovens River at Wangaratta is likely to peak near 12.00 metres late Monday morning.
