Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Avon River

MINOR FLOODING EXPECTED AT BEVERLEY BRIDGE DURING WEDNESDAY
Rainfall totals of 40 - 60 mm have been recorded over the catchment area in the past 36 hours causing river level rises and localised minor to moderate flooding across the catchment area.
Avon River to Beverley:
Minor flooding is expected along the Avon River to Beverley Bridge. Moderate flood levels are easing upstream on the Avon River at Boyagarra Road.
The Avon River at Beverley Bridge is currently at 1.40 metres and rising below the minor flood level.
The Avon River at Beverley Bridge is likely to reach the minor flood level (1.50 m) late Wednesday morning and remain around the minor flooding level into Thursday morning.
Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
