Flood Warning For The Moore And Hill Rivers

FLOODING IS OCCURRING IN THE MOORE AND HILL RIVER CATCHMENTS
Rainfall earlier in the week has resulted in significant river level rises and areas of flooding in the Moore and Hill River catchments.
Showers and thunderstorms have now eased and no significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Areas of flooding may adversely affect road conditions and some roads may become impassable.

Hill River:
Flooding is easing in the Hill River.
Moore River:
River level rises were recorded in the Moore River during Tuesday and into Wednesday. River levels are starting to ease at Long Pool Bridge. Flood waters will continue to move downstream and affect Quinns Ford for the next few days. River levels at Moora Caravan Park are currently steady and not expected to reach 3.00 metres (minor flooding). Flooding is expected to continue along the Moore River overnight Thursday into Friday.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}

Minor Flood Warning For The Avon River

MINOR FLOODING TO CONTINUE AT BEVERLEY AND YORK DURING THURSDAY AND INTO FRIDAY
No significant rainfall is expected for the next few days.

Avon River to Beverley:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Avon River to Beverley.
The Avon River at Beverley Bridge is currently at 1.64 metres and rising slowly with minor flooding.
The Avon River at Beverley Bridge is expected to remain above the minor flood level (1.50 m) during Thursday and into Friday.

Avon River from Beverley to Northam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Avon River to York.
The Avon River at Balladong Street York is currently at 2.52 metres and rising slowly with minor flooding.
The Avon River at Balladong Street York is expected to remain around the minor flood level (2.50 m) during Thursday and into Friday.

Avon River from Northam to Toodyay:
River level rises below the minor flood level are expected to continue on the Avon River from Northam to Toodyay for the next .few days.
