Flood Warning For The Moore River
Issued at 11:13 AM WST on Friday 19 August 2022

FLOODING IS OCCURRING IN THE MOORE RIVER CATCHMENT
Rainfall earlier in the week has resulted in significant river level rises and areas of flooding in the Moore River catchment.
Showers and thunderstorms have now eased and no significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Areas of flooding may adversely affect road conditions and some roads may become impassable.

Hill River:
Flooding has now eased at this location.
Moore River:
River levels are beginning to ease at Long Pool Bridge after second peak occurred overnight Thursday into Friday. Flood waters will continue to move downstream and affect Quinns Ford for the next few days. River levels at Moora Caravan Park are currently steady and not expected to reach 3.00 metres (minor flooding). Flood waters are Waterville Road appear to be at a peak just below moderate flood levels. Flooding is expected to continue along the Moore River into the weekend.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}

Minor Flood Warning For The Swan River
Issued at 11:00 AM WST on Friday 19 August 2022

MINOR FLOODING TO CONTINUE AT WALYUNGA INTO THE WEEKEND
Rainfall earlier this week across the Swan and Avon River catchments has caused river level rises and minor flooding along the Swan River to Meadow Street Bridge.
No significant rainfall is expected over the catchment area for the next several days.

Swan River upstream of Walyunga:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Swan River to Walyunga.
The Swan River at Walyunga is currently at 4.53 metres and rising, with minor flooding.
The Swan River at Walyunga is expected to peak near 4.70 metres overnight Friday into Saturday. The river level is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.50 m) during Saturday and into Sunday and may fall below the minor flood level (3.50 m) Sunday afternoon.

Swan River downstream of Walyunga:
River level rises to the minor flood level are expected on the Swan River at Meadow Street Bridge during Friday which is likely to cause flooding to recreational areas including parks, playgrounds and paths in the area.

Final Flood Warning For The Avon River

FLOODING HAS EASED AT BEVERLEY AND YORK
River levels are generally easing across the catchment area following significant rainfall earlier in the week. River levels will continue to fall over the next few days.
No significant rainfall is expected over the catchment area for the next few days.

Avon River to Beverley:
River levels are generally easing across the catchment area. Minor flood levels continue in the upper parts of the Avon River at Bells Farm and Boyagarra Road but are easing and expected to fall below the minor flood level in the next day or two.
The Avon River at Beverley Bridge is currently at 1.46 metres and easing, below the minor flood level.
The Avon River at Beverley Bridge is expected to continue easing below the minor flood level (1.50 m) during Friday and into the weekend.

Avon River from Beverley to Northam:
No further flooding is expected in the Avon River from Beverley to Northam.
The Avon River at Balladong Street York is currently at 2.38 metres and easing, below the minor flood level.
The Avon River at Balladong Street York is expected to continue easing below the minor flood level (2.50 m) during Friday and into the weekend.

Avon River from Northam to Toodyay:
River levels rises below the minor flood level are now steady on the Avon River from Northam to Toodyay. River levels will ease into the weekend.
