Flood Warning For The Moore River

FLOODING IS OCCURRING IN THE MOORE RIVER CATCHMENT
Rainfall earlier in the week has resulted in significant river level rises and areas of flooding in the Moore River catchment.
Showers and thunderstorms have now eased and no significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Areas of flooding may adversely affect road conditions and some roads may become impassable.
Hill River:
Flooding has now eased at this location.
Moore River:
River levels are beginning to ease at Long Pool Bridge after second peak occurred overnight Thursday into Friday. Flood waters will continue to move downstream and affect Quinns Ford for the next few days. River levels at Moora Caravan Park are currently steady and not expected to reach 3.00 metres (minor flooding). Flood waters are Waterville Road appear to be at a peak just below moderate flood levels. Flooding is expected to continue along the Moore River into the weekend.
Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
