MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MARION DOWNS FROM THURSDAY
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BEDOURIE AND GLENGYLE
Moderate flood levels are easing slowly along the Georgina River upstream of Marion Downs. The river level at Marion Downs is currently below the minor flood level and rising, with major flooding possible from Thursday as upstream flows continue to arrive.
Minor flooding is expected to continue along Eyre Creek at Bedourie and Glengyle, with further rises expected into next week as upstream flows arrive.
Further rainfall is forecast this week over the upper Georgina catchment, with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji forecast to move towards northwest Queensland. This is likely to result in renewed river level rises and flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for the Gulf Country and parts of Western Queensland and the Cape York Peninsula, which includes the Georgina River and Eyre Creek.

Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Major flooding is possible along the Georgina River at Marion Downs from Thursday.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is currently at 2.90 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is likely to exceed the minor flood level (3.00 m) Tuesday evening. The river may exceed the moderate flood level (4.00 m) from Wednesday. The river may exceed the major flood level (5.00 m) from Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
Elevated river levels are expected to be occurring along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs, with further rises expected during this week.
Eyre Creek:
Minor flooding is occurring along Eyre Creek. Further rises are expected into next week as upstream flows arrive.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 3.72 m and steady, with minor flooding.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.50 m) over the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

No recent observations are available for Eyre Creek at Glengyle. The creek level is estimated to be above the minor flood level (2.00 m) and relatively steady.

Minor Flood Warning For The Thomson River And Jordan Creek

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK, LONGREACH, JERICHO AND POSSIBLE AT STONEHENGE
Rainfall over recent days and weeks has caused river level rises across the upper Thomson River catchment. Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park and Longreach. Minor flooding is possible at Stonehenge from Wednesday as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Heavy rain was recorded across the Jordan Creek catchment overnight Monday and into Tuesday, causing minor flooding at Jericho.
Further rainfall is forecast this week, with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji forecast to move towards northwest Queensland. This is likely to result in renewed river level rises and flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for the Gulf Country and parts of Western Queensland and the Cape York Peninsula, which includes the Thomson and Barcoo catchments.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park and Longreach, and is possible at Stonehenge.
There are no recent observations available for the Thomson River at Camoola Park, however the river level is expected to be above the minor flood level (2.00 m) and falling.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) during the next few days. Renewed river level rises are possible from Wednesday onwards with forecast rainfall.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 3.97 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) during the next few days. Renewed river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

No observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Stonehenge. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, river levels at Stonehenge are likely to be below the minor flood level and rising.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge may reach around the minor flood level (2.00 m) from late Wednesday. Further rises are possible as upstream floodwaters arrive.

Barcoo River to Isisford:
Minor flooding is occurring along Jordan Creek.
No observations are currently available for the Jordan Creek at Jericho. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, river levels at Jericho are estimated to be above the minor flood level.
The Jordan Creek at Jericho may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Wednesday.

FLOOD LEVELS REMAIN ABOVE THE SPRINGVALE DIAMANTINA LAKES ROAD CAUSEWAY
Recent heavy rainfall has caused river level rises and flooding across the Diamantina River catchment and its upper tributaries.
Major flooding is occurring at Diamantina Lakes. An earlier flood peak is continuing to move downstream along the Diamantina River below Monkira.
Further rainfall is forecast from mid-week, with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji forecast to move over northern Queensland. This is likely to result in renewed river level rises and flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.
An initial Flood Watch is current for the Gulf Country and parts of Western Queensland and the Cape York Peninsula, which includes the Diamantina and Western Rivers.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is at 6.14 m and easing slowly, above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes, with a flood peak travelling downstream of Monkira.
