    Moderate Flood Warning For The Barcoo River And Cooper Creek, And Minor Flood Warning For The Thomson River

    MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT RETREAT AND POSSIBLE AT WINDORAH OVERNIGHT WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY
     MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK AND POSSIBLE AT JUNDAH FROM THURSDAY
     Moderate flooding is easing along the Barcoo River at Retreat, following a peak early Tuesday morning. Further downstream along the Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel), minor flooding is occurring, with moderate flooding possible overnight Wednesday into Thursday as upstream flows arrive.
     In the upper Barcoo River, minor flooding is easing following a peak at Blackall Tuesday morning. Further downstream, river levels are rising, with minor flooding occurring at Isisford. Additional river level rises are likely over the coming days as upstream flows arrive. 
     Along the Thomson River, minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park. Further downstream, river levels have peaked above minor at Bogewong and below the minor flood level at Stonehenge. These downstream flows may lead to minor flooding at Jundah from Thursday. Renewed rises are likely in the coming days as upstream flows from Camoola Park continue to arrive.
     Rainfall and showers are possible over parts of the catchment over the next few days. This warning will be updated as required. 
    
    Thomson River:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Thomson River at Camoola Park, with minor flooding possible at Jundah.
    The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently around 2.80 m and rising, with minor flooding.
    The Thomson River at Camoola Park may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) for the next few days. 
    
    The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 1.96 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
    The Thomson River at Jundah may reach the minor flood level (2.50 m) from Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. 
    
    Barcoo River to Isisford:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River upstream of Isisford.
    No observations are currently available for the Barcoo River at Blackall. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river is expected to have peaked above the minor flood level and is now below the minor flood level (2.00 m).
    The Barcoo River at Blackall is likely to remain below the minor flood level (2.00 m).
    
    The Barcoo River at Isisford Post Office is currently at 4.07 m and relatively steady, just above the minor flood level (4.00 m).
    The Barcoo River at Isisford Post Office is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) for the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. 
    
    Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
    Moderate flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River.
    The Barcoo River at Retreat peaked at 6.10 m around 01:45 am Tuesday 17 February, with moderate flooding. The river is currently at 5.53 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
    The Barcoo River at Retreat may remain above the moderate flood level (4.50 m) for the next few days. Renewed rises are likely from later this week as upstream flows arrive. 
    
    Cooper Creek:
    Moderate flooding is possible along the Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel).
    The Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel) is currently at 4.23 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding.
    The Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel) may reach around the moderate flood level (4.57 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. 
    
    Flood Safety Advice:
    Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
     Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
     Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
