FLOOD LEVELS REMAIN ABOVE THE SPRINGVALE DIAMANTINA LAKES RD CAUSEWAY
Heavy rainfall in early February has caused river level rises in parts of the Diamantina River catchment.
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring along the Diamantina River as floodwaters arrive from upstream.
No significant rainfall totals are forecast for the Diamantina River catchment for the next few days.
Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flooding is continuing at Diamantina Lakes following a moderate flood peak, with the river level currently at 4.41 metres and falling slowly. The river level is 2.31 metres above the level of the causeway on the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road (2.10 m).
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
The river level along the Diamantina River at Monkira is estimated to be above the minor flood level (2.90 m) and rising.
