for Heavy Rainfall
for parts of South West Slopes, Riverina, Snowy Mountains and Southern Tablelands Forecast Districts.

Heavy falls have eased in the Northern Rivers but still continuing in the Snowy Mountains.
Weather Situation
Slow-moving heavy thunderstorms have also triggered about the Snowy Mountains.
HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Riverina and Snowy Mountains
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Tumbarumba, Cabramurra, Selwyn, Gundagai and Tumut.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Northern Rivers and Australian Capital Territory districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
45 mm OF RAINFALL RECORDED AT THREDBO IN ONE HOUR TO 5:20 PM.
110 mm of RAINFALL HAS BEEN RECORDED AT TUCKURIMBA (LISMORE) IN THE 3 HRS TO 3:15 PM.
68.6 mm of rainfall has been recorded at Green Pigeon in the hour to 1:13 pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.
