Cancellation of Coastal Hazard Warning

for Mid North Coast, Hunter, Metropolitan, Illawarra and South Coast Forecast Districts.

Damaging surf for central and southern coasts has now eased


cancellation of coastal hazard warning for the following areas:
Mid North Coast, Hunter, Metropolitan, Illawarra and South Coast
This warning is now cancelled.
A Hazardous Surf Warning is current at the time of issue.

8m significant wave height observed at the Eden wave buoy at 1:00pm on the 27th March
5.7m significant wave height observed at the Sydney wave buoy at 2:00am on the 28th March
5.4m significant wave height observed at the Port Kembla wave buoy at 7:00am on the 28th March


The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay vigilant and monitor conditions.
For emergency help in flood and storms, ring the SES on 132 500.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
