Weather Situation
An unstable and very moist environment about a broad surface trough will trigger scattered severe thunderstorms through much of the state today. Severe thunderstorms are likely to move towards the east throughout afternoon and into the evening.
HEAVY RAINFALL and DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Central West Slopes and Plains, South West Slopes, Riverina, Upper Western, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Orange, Canberra, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Albury and Tibooburra.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Lower Western district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
