Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning

for Northern Rivers Forecast District.

Rainfall has eased in the Northern Rivers.

Weather Situation
A line of slow moving heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms has moved north into Queensland after producing heavy rainfall earlier in the day, with ongoing flooding in some parts.

Northern Rivers
This warning is now cancelled.
75.5 mm of rainfall was recorded at Byron Bay in the 1 hour to 12:46 pm.
106 mm of rainfall was recorded at Coopers Shoot in the 3 hours to 12:45 pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
