Showers and isolated thunderstorms bring heavy rainfall to parts of the Blue Mountains and Central Tablelands.
HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Blue Mountains/Hawkesbury
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 11:20 am, a severe thunderstorm likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding was detected near Blackheath. This thunderstorm is slow moving.
48mm of rainfall was recorded at Blackheath in the 60 min to 11 am.
35mm of rainfall was recorded at North Parramatta in the 30 min to 8:27 am.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.
