Minor Flood Warning For Tuggerah Lake

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES AT TUGGERAH LAKE, WITH FLOOD LEVELS APPROACHING A MINOR PEAK AT LONG JETTY TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Heavy rainfall was observed overnight Sunday into Monday in parts of the Wyong River and Tuggerah Lake. This has caused minor flooding around Tuggerah Lake.
Lake levels are slowly approaching a peak Tuesday afternoon, and are expected to remain elevated, with prolonged minor flooding.
Tuggerah Lake:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Tuggerah Lake.
The Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty is approaching a peak around 1.21 metres Tuesday 07 May, with minor flooding.
The Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty is likely to remain above the minor flood level (0.90 m) for the next few days.
Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
