Detailed Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for Damaging Winds, Large Hailstones And Heavy Rainfall

for parts of Blue Mountains/Hawkesbury, Sydney, Wollondilly/Wingecarribee and Greater Wollongong areas.

DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Blue Mountains/Hawkesbury, Sydney, Wollondilly/Wingecarribee and Greater Wollongong
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:55 pm, severe thunderstorms likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Camden and Penrith. These thunderstorms are moving towards the southeast. They are forecast to affect Campbelltown, Liverpool and Horsley Park by 6:25 pm and Sutherland, Wollongong and Engadine by 6:55 pm.
Cancellation for the following areas:

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
* Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
* Report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003), Essential Energy (132 080) or Evoenergy (131 093) as shown on your power bill.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
* Unplug computers and appliances.
* Avoid using the phone during the storm.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.
* For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for the Metropolitan and parts of the Northern Rivers, Hunter, Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Northern Tablelands and Mid North Coast districts.

The next warning is due to be issued by 6:55 pm.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.

DAMAGING WINDS and LARGE HAILSTONES for the following areas:
Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Hunter, Metropolitan, Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and Northern Tablelands
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Grafton, Katoomba, Jackadgery, Nymboida, Ulladulla and Nerriga.
105 km/h gust recorded at Western Sydney Airport at 4:10pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.

for Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Central West Slopes & Plains, South West Slopes, Riverina, Lower Western, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Central West Slopes & Plains, South West Slopes, Riverina, Lower Western, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and westerly winds are expected during Monday and Tuesday. Areas likely to be affected include the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Riverina, Lower Western, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands and Central West Slopes & Plains forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
