Final Flood Warning For The Shoalhaven River

FLOODING IS NO LONGER EXPECTED AT NOWRA AND TERARA
River levels along the Shoalhaven River have peaked on Wednesday and no further flooding is expected.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Shoalhaven River:
No further flooding is expected along the Shoalhaven River.

The Shoalhaven River at Nowra peaked at 2.33 m AHD around 05:00 pm Wednesday 2 July, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.45 m AHD and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Shoalhaven River at Nowra is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.30 m AHD).

The Shoalhaven River at Terara peaked at 2.22 m AHD around 04:15 pm Wednesday 2 July, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.40 m AHD and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Shoalhaven River at Terara is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.20 m AHD).

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

for Northern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Northern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and southwesterly winds are expected during Thursday and Friday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the Northern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
Cancellation of Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts
The Warning to Sheep Graziers for the Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts has been cancelled.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 pm EST Thursday.

Minor Flood Warning For The Hawkesbury And Nepean Rivers

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT PENRITH AND NORTH RICHMOND FROM EARLY THURSDAY MORNING
A vigorous low pressure system has resulted in moderate to heavy rainfall over the Hawkesbury Nepean River catchment during Tuesday into Wednesday. This has resulted in river level rises along the Hawkesbury and Nepean Rivers.
Minor flooding is possible at Penrith and North Richmond from early Thursday morning.
Minor flooding is no longer occurring at Menangle.
Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Wednesday into Thursday. The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Upper Nepean River:
Minor flooding is no longer occurring along the Upper Nepean River at Menangle.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge peaked at 5.92 m around 03:45 pm Wednesday 2 July, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 5.03 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.20 m).

The Nepean River at Camden Weir peaked below the minor flood level and is currently at 3.54 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Camden Weir is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.80 m).

Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River.
The Nepean River at Penrith is currently at 2.19 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Penrith may reach around the minor flood level (3.90 m) early Thursday morning.

The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS is currently at 1.04 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS may exceed the minor flood level (3.80 m) early Thursday morning. The river may reach around 4.50 m Thursday morning, with minor flooding.
