Weather Situation
Hot and dry conditions with moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds will drive extreme fire dangers during Friday afternoon over parts of southeast NSW. Winds are expected to shift milder northeast to southeasterly during the evening. Isolated thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and bring a dry lightning risk.

Today: Partly cloudy. High chance of showers, most likely in the late afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening, possibly severe with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding on and E of the ranges in the afternoon and early evening. Light winds becoming NW/NE 15 to 20 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 16 and 22 with daytime temperatures reaching 29 to 34.
