Minor Flood Warning For The Namoi River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GOANGRA TUESDAY
Along the Namoi River at Bugilbone the river level peaked on Thursday, below the minor flood level. Further downstream, minor flooding is possible at Goangra, with a minor flood peak possible from early next week.

Namoi River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Namoi River at Goangra.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone peaked at 4.49 metres around 10:00 am Friday, below the minor flood level (4.90 m). The river is currently at 4.14 metres and falling.

The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 5.05 metres and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Namoi River at Goangra may peak around the minor flood level (5.50 m) during Tuesday.

Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
