Minor Flood Warning For The Namoi River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WEE WAA (GLENCOE), BUGILBONE AND GOANGRA
Moderate rainfall from Friday has caused renewed river level rises along the Namoi River and its tributaries, which has the potential to cause renewed minor flooding along the Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe).
The main flood peak along the Namoi River from the previous rainfall event is currently approaching Bugilbone where minor flooding is possible from Sunday afternoon.
Minor flooding may also develop at Goangra from Wednesday 17 August.
Namoi River:
Renewed minor flooding may develop at Wee Waa (Glencoe). Minor flooding is possible at Bugilbone and Goangra.
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) may reach the minor flood level (5.30 m) Monday afternoon.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone may reach the minor flood level (4.90 m) Sunday afternoon.
The Namoi River at Goangra may reach near the minor flood level (5.50 metres) during Wednesday 17 August.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT YARRAMAN FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Moderate rainfall from Friday into Saturday has caused river level rises across the Gwydir River catchment. The main peak along the Gwydir River is approaching Pallamallawa, where river levels are expected to remain below the minor flood level.
As these floodwaters extend downstream, minor flooding is possible along the Gwydir River at Yarraman from Sunday afternoon.
Gwydir River downstream of Copeton Dam:
Minor flooding may occur along the Gwydir River at Yarraman
The Gwydir River at Yarraman Bridge is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 metres) around Sunday afternoon. The river level may reach near 4.20 metres around Sunday evening, with minor flooding.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT NARROMINE AND LIKELY AT WELLINGTON.
Minor flooding is likely along the Macquarie River at Wellington overnight Saturday into Sunday.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River at Narromine due to flood waters moving down Talbragar River combining with water from dam releases moving through the Macquarie River. The flood peak from the Talbragar River is likely at Narromine early Sunday morning.
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River at Warren, where major flooding is possible during Monday.
Macquarie River downstream of Burrendong Dam:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River at Warren, with major flooding possible. Minor flooding occurring at Narromine and likely at Wellington.
The Macquarie River at Wellington Bridge is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 metres) overnight Saturday into Sunday. The river level may reach around 4.40 metres Sunday morning, with minor flooding.
The Macquarie River at Narromine may peak near 7.00 metres early Sunday morning, with minor flooding.
Renewed river rises are expected at Warren. The Macquarie River at Warren Town may reach the major flood level (9.00 metres) during Monday.

FLOODING POSSIBLE IN THE NEW SOUTH WALES NORTH AND CENTRAL WEST INLAND RIVERS INTO SUNDAY
A cold front has cleared out of New South Wales, however further showers and thunderstorms are possible into Sunday through the Central West and North West
This rainfall may cause minor flooding along the North and Central West inland NSW rivers, with renewed rises in upper parts of the catchments.
Catchments are wet following recent rainfall
The weather system is expected to cause renewed flooding for the following catchments listed from Saturday night. Flood Classes (minor, moderate, major) are only defined for catchments where the Bureau provides a flood warning service.

Gwydir River
Peel River
Macquarie River to Bathurst
Orange, Molong and Bell River
Namoi River
Macquarie River d/s Burrendong Dam
