MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT NARRABRI AND WEE WAA
Along the Namoi River, major flooding is occurring at Narrabri and Wee Waa.
Minor flooding may develop at Bugilbone during Sunday.
Minor flooding is likely at Goangra from Thursday evening, driven by local flood waters ahead of the arrival of the main flood peak from upstream.

Namoi River:
Minor to major flooding is occurring along the Namoi River.
The Namoi River at Boggabri is currently at 7.44 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Boggabri may fall below the minor flood level (7.00 m) early Friday morning.

The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri peaked at 7.10 m around 1:15 am Thursday 7 August, above the major flood level. The creek is currently at 6.78 m and falling, with major flooding.
The Narrabri Creek at Narrabri is likely to fall below the major flood level (6.70 m) Thursday afternoon.

The Namoi River at Glencoe Wee Waa is currently at 7.16 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Namoi River at Glencoe Wee Waa may peak around 7.30 m Thursday evening, with major flooding.

The Namoi River at Bugilbone is currently at 4.61 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone may reach the minor flood level (4.90 m) during Sunday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 5.45 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Namoi River at Goangra is likely to reach the minor flood level (5.50 m) Thursday evening, driven by local floodwaters. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT MAITLAND AND BULGA
Flooding on the Hunter River and Wollombi Brook continues to recede. River levels at Maitland and Bulga have fallen below the minor flood level and no further flooding is expected.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Wollombi Brook:
Flooding is no longer occurring at Bulga.
The Wollombi Brook at Bulga is currently at 2.62 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Wollombi Brook at Bulga is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m).

Lower Hunter:
Flooding is no longer occurring at Maitland.
The Hunter River at Maitland Belmore Bridge is currently at 4.94 m AHD and falling, below the minor flood level.
