for Simpson district.

Heavy rainfall has eased through the south.
Weather Situation
A rich tropical airmass extended over the centre of the country with a surface trough extending through southern parts of the state, bringing heavy rainfall.
cancellation of severe weather warning for the following areas:
Simpson
This warning is now cancelled. The risk of isolated heavy falls with showers and thunderstorms may persist into the evening and if so, a Severe Thunderstorm Warnings will be issued as necessary.
The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should:
* pull over if it is raining heavily and you cannot see, park with your hazard lights on until the rain clears
* avoid driving into water of unknown depth and current
* stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways
* stay away from fallen power lines. They are dangerous and should always be treated as live
