MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT KATHERINE BRIDGE AND NITMILUK CENTRE
Minor flooding is occurring along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk and Katherine Bridge, and likely to continue Thursday into Friday.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the next few days, which may lead to renewed river level rises.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End, which includes the Katherine River.

Katherine River Gorge Road:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 4.67 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.

Katherine Town:
Minor flooding is occurring at Katherine Town.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is currently at 16.29 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is likely to remain above the minor flood level (16.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

Moderate Flood Warning For The Waterhouse River And Flood Warning For The Roper River

MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING ALONG THE WATERHOUSE RIVER AT BESWICK BRIDGE
Moderate flooding is continuing along the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge. The river levels are likely to remain above the moderate flood level during the remainder of Thursday into Friday.
Further rainfall forecast over the coming days may lead to additional river rises. The situation is being closely monitored, and the warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End.

Waterhouse River:
Moderate flooding is continuing along the Waterhouse River.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is currently at 8.19 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (8.10 m) during the remainder of Thursday into Friday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

Roper River below Elsey Creek:
River levels are elevated in the Roper River catchment.
