Weather Situation
A low pressure system is currently situated south of Julia Creek and will gradually move to the southeast during Sunday and Monday. A trough extends from this low through central districts and is focusing heavy rainfall through the central interior. Meanwhile, rich tropical moisture feeding into a trough in southeastern parts of the state will see rainfall increasing during Sunday evening and continuing into Monday.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North West, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast
FOR THE CENTRAL INTERIOR: HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible today, becoming more likely later tonight. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 60 and 90 mm are likely. 24-hourly rainfall totals between 100 and 130 mm are likely, with isolated totals around 180 mm possible. Locally INTENSE RAINFALL which may lead to DANGEROUS AND LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING is also possible in the Central West tonight with six-hourly totals up to 150 mm.
FOR THE SOUTH EAST: HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is likely over southeastern districts today and during Monday. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 70 and 120 mm are likely, with isolated totals around 180 mm possible. 24-hourly rainfall totals between 80 and 140 mm are likely, with isolated totals around 250 mm possible.

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ESSENDEAN BRIDGE FROM SUNDAY EVENING
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BUCCA WEIR FROM OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
Heavy rainfall was observed across the Baffle Creek catchment overnight Friday into Saturday which has resulted in creek level rises. Levels along the Baffle Creek are rising, with minor flooding likely at Essendean Bridge from late Sunday afternoon and moderate flooding possible from Sunday evening. Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Sunday and into Monday, which may result in further rises.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across the Kolan River catchment for the remainder of Sunday and into Monday, which may result in river level rises and minor flooding at Bucca Weir from overnight Sunday into Monday.
This situation is being monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current.
Kolan River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Kolan River at Bucca Weir.
The Kolan River at Bucca Weir is currently at 16.37 m AHD and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Kolan River at Bucca Weir may exceed the minor flood level (17.50 m AHD) from overnight Sunday into Monday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
Baffle Creek:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge.
The Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge is currently at 4.97 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge is likely to exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) late Sunday afternoon. The creek may exceed the moderate flood level (6.20 m) Sunday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT YATTON FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT TAROOM AND THEODORE WEIR FROM MONDAY EVENING
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across parts of the Dawson, Connors and Isaac Rivers, with further heavy rainfall forecast for the remainder of Sunday and Monday. Rainfall has been particularly heavy across the Funnel Creek catchment and rapid river level rises have been observed.
Along the Dawson River minor flooding is possible at Taroom and Theodore Weir from Monday evening. Along the Isaac River minor flooding may develop at Yatton overnight Sunday into Monday with moderate flooding possible from Monday afternoon.
Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of the Sunday and into the new week. Higher and earlier river level rises are possible, depending on the timing and intensity of rainfall.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current for large parts of southeast Queensland, including parts of the Dawson River catchment.
Dawson River to Theodore:
Minor flooding is possible at Taroom and Theodore with further rises possible with forecast rain.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 0.85 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Taroom may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday, with forecast rainfall. Further rises are possible.
The Dawson River at Theodore Weir is currently at 6.08 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Dawson River at Theodore Weir may reach around the minor flood level (8.00 m) Monday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Moderate flooding is possible at Yatton with further rises possible with forecast rain.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 4.09 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Isaac River at Yatton may exceed the minor flood level (7.50 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. The river may exceed the moderate flood level (9.50 m) Monday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
