THUNDERSTORM WITH GIANT HAIL MOVING THROUGH CANUNGRA TOWARDS BEENLEIGH.

GIANT HAILSTONES, DESTRUCTIVE WINDS and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Logan, Scenic Rim, Gold Coast, Redland City and Brisbane City
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 7:00 pm, a VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORM likely to produce giant hailstones, damaging, locally destructive winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding was detected near Canungra, Mount Tamborine and Coomera. This thunderstorm is moving towards the north. It is forecast to affect Tamborine and Logan Village by 7:30 pm and Beenleigh, Logan Central and Jimboomba by 8:00 pm.
7 CM HAIL REPORTED SOUTH OF CANUNGRA.
Cancellation for the following areas:
South Burnett,Toowoomba ,Somerset

Emergency services advise people to:
* If you have children make sure they are with you or an adult you trust.
* Pack away, secure or tie down outdoor furniture, toys and trampolines if it s safe to do so.
* Stay away from windows if there is giant hail.
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.

VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS are likely to produce damaging, locally destructive winds, large, possibly giant hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the Southeast Coast district. Locations which may be affected include Brisbane, Ipswich, Cleveland, Jimboomba, Beaudesert and Mount Tamborine.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones, damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields, Wide Bay and Burnett and Maranoa and Warrego districts. Locations which may be affected include Monto, Rolleston, Carnarvon National Park, Injune, Gayndah and Eidsvold.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
