Cancellation Of Severe Weather Warning
for Central Highlands and Coalfields and Capricornia Forecast Districts.

The immediate threat of heavy rainfall has passed, although a moist onshore flow associated with ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji continues to generate persistent showers and isolated thunderstorms to its south - isolated heavy falls remain possible today.
Weather Situation
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji is currently located over the Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders district, weakening as it continues slowly tracking northwesterly over land. The system is bringing moist onshore flow to its south, continuing to generate persistent showers and isolated thunderstorms.

This warning is now cancelled.
Isolated heavy falls remain possible near and south of Ex Tropical Cyclone Koji. These are most likely with persistent showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Capricornia and Central Highlands and Coalfields districts this morning, which are expected to move slowly south into parts of the Wide Bay and Burnett district north of Gympie today. Heavy falls are also possible in the Central West, northern Darling Downs and Granite Belt, and southern Peninsula district today. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings will be issued if heavy rainfall develops or is expected.

92 mm of rainfall was recorded in the 5 hours to 11:42 pm at Blackdown Tableland.
Emergency services advise people to:
* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.
