for Destructive Winds, Giant Hailstones And Heavy Rainfall

VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORM AT DALBY AND APPROACHING THE AREA WEST OF WARWICK.
DESTRUCTIVE WINDS, GIANT HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Scenic Rim, Southern Downs, Western Downs, South Burnett, Toowoomba and Gold Coast
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:20 pm, VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS likely to produce damaging, locally destructive winds, large, possibly giant hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near the area southeast of Dalby, the area east of Dalby and the area northeast of Dalby. These thunderstorms are moving towards the northeast. They are forecast to affect Mt Mowbullan by 5:50 pm and the area south of Kingaroy, Cooyar, Yarraman, the area west of Warwick, the area north of Crows Nest and the area north of Cooyar by 6:20 pm.
Another severe thunderstorm likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding was detected near Kyogle(NSW), Nimbin(NSW) and the area south of the NSW border. This thunderstorm is moving towards the northeast. It is forecast to affect the McPherson Range and Springbrook by 6:20 pm.
5 CM HAIL WAS REPORTED AT SILVER SPUR AT 4:40 PM AEDT.
Emergency services advise people to:
* If you have children make sure they are with you or an adult you trust.
* Pack away, secure or tie down outdoor furniture, toys and trampolines if it s safe to do so.
* Stay away from windows if there is giant hail.
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
