Rain continues about northern Queensland, though heavy falls are now less likely for the time being.

Very humid air lies over the far north, and a weak trough lies over the Herbert and Lower Burdekin district.

Emergency services advise people to:
* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.
* For storm help, call the SES on 132 500 or download the free SES Assistance QLD app.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.

Minor Flood Warning For The Bohle River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MT BOHLE SUNDAY EVENING
Moderate rainfall has been recorded across the Bohle catchment since Saturday evening. River level rises are occurring along the Bohle River, where minor flooding is possible at Mt Bohle Sunday evening.
Further moderate to heavy rainfall is possible for the remainder of Sunday and into Monday, which may result in further river level rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for adjoining catchments.

Bohle River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Bohle River at Mt Bohle.
The Bohle River at Mt Bohle is currently at 3.85 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Bohle River at Mt Bohle may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) Sunday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GLENEAGLE AND ABERGOWRIE BRIDGE FROM SUNDAY EVENING
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT HALIFAX OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
Recent moderate to heavy rainfall has resulted in renewed river level rises across the Herbert River catchment, with minor flooding recorded at Abergowrie Bridge and Halifax during Saturday. River levels at both locations have since eased below minor flood levels.
Further rainfall is forecast over the coming days. This may lead to additional river level rises, with minor flooding possible at Gleneagle and Abergowrie Bridge from Sunday evening, and at Halifax overnight Sunday into Monday. At this stage, flooding is not expected at Ingham Pump Station and Gairloch.
This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for adjoining catchments.

Herbert River to Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is possible along the Herbert River at Gleneagle.
No observations are currently available for the Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, river levels are expected to be below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) Sunday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is possible along the Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge and Halifax.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge peaked at 6.12 m around 08:45 am Saturday 3 January, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 4.52 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge may reach around the minor flood level (6.00 m) Sunday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

The Herbert River at Halifax peaked at 4.21 m around 01:15 pm Saturday 3 January, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 2.86 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Halifax may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
