Minor Flood Warning For The Suttor And Upper Burdekin Rivers

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SELLHEIM (MACROSSAN BRIDGE) FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ST ANNS
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded in the upper Burdekin River catchment in the 24 hours to 10:00 pm Tuesday, which has caused significant river level rises and minor to moderate flooding along the upper Burdekin River and its tributaries upstream of Sellheim, with minor flooding possible at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) from Wednesday afternoon.
The river level is currently near the minor flood level and falling along the Suttor River at St Anns. Small renewed rises are possible and the river level may remain around the minor level during Wednesday.

Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
River levels have fallen just below the minor flood level at St Anns. Renewed rises to minor flood level possible.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 3.69 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Suttor River at St Anns may remain around the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Wednesday.

Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring in the upper Burdekin River and its tributaries.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) is currently at 3.25 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) may reach near the minor flood level (12.00 m) from Wednesday afternoon.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

Final Flood Warning For The Fitzroy River Catchment

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT YAAMBA
River levels at Yaamba on the Fitzroy River are expected to remain below the minor flood level and continue falling.
Showers and thunderstorms remain possible over the next few days, which may cause small renewed river level rises in parts of the catchment, but are not expected to significantly impact current river levels along the Fitzroy River.

Fitzroy River:
Flooding is no longer occurring along the Fitzroy River.
No observations are currently available for the Fitzroy River at Yaamba. Based on the downstream gauge at South Yaamba, the river level is expected to be below the minor flood level and falling.
The Fitzroy River at Yaamba is expected to remain below the minor flood level (9.00 m).

The Fitzroy River at Rockhampton is expected to remain below the minor flood level (7.00 m).
