Convergence about the ranges has resulted in the development of isolated severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening about the southeast. Convergent winds about the northeast coast are resulting in heavy rainfall with shower and thunderstorm activity.
DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Wide Bay and Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones over the next several hours in parts of the Wide Bay and Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast districts. Locations which may be affected include Crows Nest.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the North Tropical Coast and Tablelands and Herbert and Lower Burdekin districts. Locations which may be affected include Tully, Cardwell and Lucinda.

Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.

Final Flood Warning For The Fitzroy River Catchment

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT YAAMBA
River levels at Yaamba on the Fitzroy River are expected to remain below the minor flood level and continue falling.
Showers and thunderstorms remain possible over the next few days, which may cause small renewed river level rises in parts of the catchment, but are not expected to significantly impact current river levels along the Fitzroy River.

Fitzroy River:
Flooding is no longer occurring along the Fitzroy River.
No observations are currently available for the Fitzroy River at Yaamba. Based on the downstream gauge at South Yaamba, the river level is expected to be below the minor flood level and falling.
The Fitzroy River at Yaamba is expected to remain below the minor flood level (9.00 m).

The Fitzroy River at Rockhampton is expected to remain below the minor flood level (7.00 m).

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
