Moderate Flood Warning For The Connors And Isaac Rivers

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT YATTON
River level rises are occurring along the Connors and Isaac Rivers following rainfall over the past week. Floodwaters are approaching Yatton on the Isaac River, where a moderate flood peak is expected from Saturday afternoon.
As the flood peak moves downstream river levels are expected to remain below the minor flood level at forecast locations along the Mackenzie and Lower Fitzroy Rivers.
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Connors River at Pink Lagoon. Moderate flooding is occurring along the Isaac River at Yatton.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 10.09 m and rising, with moderate flooding.
The Isaac River at Yatton is likely to peak above the moderate flood level (9.50 m) from Saturday afternoon. The river is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (9.50 m) into Sunday.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
