DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
Cherbourg, Gympie, Somerset, South Burnett, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 12:10 am, severe thunderstorms likely to produce damaging winds were detected near the area south of Kingaroy, the area west of Kingaroy and Toogoolawah. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east to northeast. They are forecast to affect Kilcoy, Kingaroy and the area west of Kilcoy by 12:40 am and the area northeast of Kingaroy, Lake Somerset and Woodford by 1:10 am.
109 km/h wind gust recorded at Dalby at 10:16 pm.
107 km/h wind gust recorded at Goondiwindi Airport at 6:26 pm.

Minor Flood Warning For The Dawson River

RENEWED RISES AND MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BARALABA FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON
A flood peak is moving down the Dawson River and is nearing Moura. Recent storms have also caused renewed rises in the Theodore area. Further showers and storms are forecast over the next few days, which in combination with existing flows may result in renewed river level rises and minor flooding along the Dawson River at Baralaba from Thursday afternoon.

Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Minor flooding is possible along the Dawson River at Baralaba.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Baralaba, however based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level (4.00 m) and falling slowly.
Renewed river level rises and minor flooding (4.00 m) are possible along the Dawson River at Baralaba from Thursday afternoon as upstream peaks arrive and in combination with forecast rainfall.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
