MINOR FLOODING ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT GLENEAGLE
River levels are easing across the catchment following significant rainfall during last week.
No significant rainfall has been recorded in the 24 hours to 9 am Tuesday, and no significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Herbert River to Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is continuing along the Herbert River to Nash's Crossing.
No recent observations are available for Gleneagle manual gauge, however based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is estimated to be above the minor flood level and falling.
The Herbert River at Gleneagle may fall below the minor flood level (4.50 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is no longer occurring along the Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is currently at 4.65 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m).
At around 2:30 pm Monday, the Herbert River at Halifax was around 3.55 metres, below the minor flood level.
The Herbert River at Halifax is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).

Final Flood Warning For The Tully River
Issued at 11:23 AM EST on Monday 23 December 2024
Flood Warning Number: 2
MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT EURAMO
Moderate to heavy rainfall during Saturday and Sunday resulted in river level rises along the Tully River. Euramo peaked below the minor flood level during Sunday evening and the river level is currently easing.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days across the Tully River catchment.
Tully River:
Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Tully River.
The Tully River at Euramo peaked at 5.70 metres, below the minor flood level (6.00 m), at 10:30 pm on Sunday 22 December 2024. The river level is currently at 5.50 metres and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Tully River at Euramo is expected to remain below the minor flood level.

Flooding in North Queensland catchments during December 2023 damaged high priority river gauges that support the Bureau of Meteorology to provide high accuracy flood forecasts. While river gauges are being repaired, the Bureau will continue to issue flood watches and warnings for these catchments using the best available data.
