MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK, LONGREACH, AND POSSIBLE AT STONEHENGE, RETREAT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON
Multiple flood peaks are currently moving through the Thomson River. Following a moderate flood peak on Monday morning, renewed rises are occurring at Camoola Park above the moderate flood level. An initial flood peak has passed Longreach, where moderate flooding is continuing. Further downstream at Stonehenge, slow renewed river level rises are occurring and approaching the moderate flood level, as upstream flows arrive. As these flows continue to move downstream, rises and moderate flooding are occurring at Jundah with major flooding possible over the weekend.
Along the Barcoo River, the main peak is now downstream of Wahroongha and approaching Glenlock. As these flows move downstream, minor flooding is continuing at Retreat, with renewed river level rises occurring and moderate flooding possible from the weekend.
Along the Cooper Creek, renewed minor flooding is occurring at Windorah (Main Channel), with the renewed river level rises are likely to exceed the moderate flood level during Friday and to exceed the major flood level form late in the weekend and into next week. Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive from the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers.
Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
In the lower Cooper Creek catchment, moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded in the last few days which has caused minor to moderate flooding along the lower Cooper Creek and its tributaries.

Thomson River:
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring along the Thomson River and its tributaries, with major flooding possible at Jundah over the weekend and into next week.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently at 4.60 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) for the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 4.91 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach may reach around 5.10 m over the weekend, with moderate flooding. The river is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (4.30 m) in to next week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

No observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Stonehenge. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is estimated to be above the minor flood level (2.00 m) with renewed rises occurring.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge is likely to reach the moderate flood level (3.00 m) over the weekend. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 4.00 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah may remain around the moderate flood level (4.00 m) during Friday 27 February with renewed rises likely. The river may reach around 5.00 m over the weekend, with major flooding. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Barcoo River at Retreat. Minor flooding is occurring at Wahroongha.

Cooper Creek:
Major flooding is possible along the Cooper Creek at Windorah over the weekend and into next week. Minor flooding is occurring at Nappa Merrie.

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG THE DIAMANTINA RIVER AT BIRDSVILLE FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND OCCURRING ALONG THE WESTERN RIVER AT WINTON
RAPID RIVER AND CREEK LEVEL RISES AND FLOODING OCCURRING IN THE LOWER DIAMANTINA CATCHMENT
Significant rainfall has been observed across the Diamantina catchment during the last few days. Areas of heavy rainfall are forecast to continue across lower parts of the catchment during Friday, which may result in rapid river level rises and localised flooding.
River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River and its tributaries from recent rainfall, with minor flooding occurring at Birdsville. Moderate flooding is possible at Birdsville from Friday afternoon as upstream flows arrive.
Further upstream along the Diamantina River, river levels remain above the moderate flood level at Diamantina Lakes and above the minor level at Monkira. Further river level rises are likely downstream of Diamantina Lakes over the next few days as upstream flows arrive.
Along the Western River at Winton, river levels are estimated to be above the moderate flood level and slowly falling.
A Severe Weather Warning is current for heavy, locally intense rainfall in lower parts of the catchment, including Birdsville and Davenport Downs Station.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is currently at 4.89 m and rising, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and well above the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway level (2.10 m).
Western River:
Moderate flooding is expected to be slowly easing along the Western River at Winton.
No observations are currently available for the Western River at Winton. It is estimated that the river level is currently above the moderate flood level (2.00 m) and falling.
The Western River at Winton is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (2.00 m) through the remainder of Friday.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Roseberth and is possible at Birdsville, where minor flooding is occurring. Minor flooding is occurring at Monkira. Rapid river level rises are possible along the Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes, with forecast heavy rainfall. Further rises are also possible as upstream flows arrive.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 5.20 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station may exceed the moderate flood level (6.00 m) Friday afternoon. The river may reach around 6.50 m during Saturday, with moderate flooding. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Forecasts will be updated as upstream peaks are observed.

Moderate rainfall during the last few weeks over the upper Flinders catchment has caused persistent major flooding in the upper Flinders River. Major flooding is expected to be continuing along the Flinders River at Richmond Post Office, where river levels may remain around the major flood level for the remainder of Friday.
The main flood peak along the Flinders River continues to approach Etta Plains. The flood peak along the Cloncurry River is around Canobie, upstream of the junction with the Flinders River.
River levels are rising along the lower Flinders River at Walkers Bend, where major flooding is likely from around Sunday as flood waters from both the Cloncurry and Flinders rivers arrive.
Renewed river level rises are occurring along the upper Cloncurry River, with minor flooding possible at Cloncurry overnight Friday into Saturday.

Flinders River to Richmond:
Major flooding is expected to be continuing along the Flinders River at Richmond.
No observations are currently available for the Flinders River at Richmond Post Office. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is estimated to be near the major flood level (8.00 m) and steady.
The Flinders River at Richmond Post Office may remain around the major flood level (8.00 m) during the remainder of Friday.

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Elevated river levels are occurring along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond. Major flooding is likely at Walkers Bend.

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT TAEMAS, ST ANNS, BURDEKIN FALLS DAM, DALBEG, CLARE AND INKERMAN BRIDGE (BURDEKIN BRIDGE)
Moderate to heavy rainfall from last week into early this week has caused river level rises and flooding along the Cape, Belyando, Suttor and Burdekin Rivers.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cape River at Taemas and the Suttor River at St Anns. Further downstream along the Burdekin River, minor flooding continues at Burdekin Falls Dam, Dalbeg, Clare, and Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge), following minor flood peaks during Tuesday and early Wednesday.
Further showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the catchment over the next few days, which may cause additional river level rises across the Burdekin River catchment. The situation is being monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.

Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Suttor River at St Anns.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 5.36 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Suttor River at St Anns is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday and Friday.

Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam at Taemas.
