MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING AT BIRDSVILLE
Flooding continues to ease along the lower Diamantina River. Moderate flooding at Birdsville is likely to continue into early next week.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Flooding is easing along the lower Diamantina River between Durrie Station and Birdsville. Major flooding continues to ease at Roseberth Station.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville is currently at 6.65 metres and falling slowly, above the moderate flood level (6.00 m).
The Diamantina River at Birdsville is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (6.00 m) into early next week.

Creek levels along the Cooper Creek at Windorah have fallen below the minor flood level. No further flooding is expected along the Cooper Creek.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.

No current observations are available along the Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel) TM. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the creek level is estimated to be below the minor flood level (3.00 m) and falling.
