for Damaging Winds, Large Hailstones And Heavy Rainfall
for parts of Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Central Highlands and Coalfields Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms continuing about southeastern Queensland.
Weather Situation
A line of thunderstorms that triggered on a trough is pushing east across central and southeastern parts of the state this evening. As they approach the coast they are expected to weaken.
DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Central Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia and Wide Bay and Burnett
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and possible heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Biloela, Monto and Moura.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
44 mm was recorded at Silver Valley in the 30 minutes to 2:02pm.

Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
The next warning is due to be issued by 9:55 pm.
