for parts of Western Downs and South Burnett Council Areas.

DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
Western Downs and South Burnett
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 9:25 pm, a severe thunderstorm likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding was detected near Bell. This thunderstorm is moving towards the northwest. It is forecast to affect the ranges north of Jandowae by 10:25 pm.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Toowoomba
Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Wide Bay and Burnett, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast districts.
The next warning is due to be issued by 10:30 pm.

Thunderstorms possibly severe with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding from the late morning. Possible locally destructive winds and giant hail with thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Light winds becoming N/NE 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 19 with daytime temperatures reaching around 30.
