Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning

for Peninsula, Gulf Country, North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, North West, Central Coast and Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Channel Country, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms with heavy falls have eased in the northwest of the state.

Weather Situation
Slow moving thunderstorms along a surface trough in a very moist airmass generating heavy falls have now eased.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
Peninsula, Gulf Country, North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, North West, Central Coast and Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Channel Country, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast
This warning is now cancelled.
75 mm of rainfall was recorded at Mount Isa Aerodrome in the 3 hours to 9:00 pm.
75 mm of rainfall was recorded at Strathpark in the 2 hours to to 8:00pm.
48 mm of rainfall was recorded at Dajarra Airport in the 1 hour to 3:39 pm.

* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
